Feed Anima the bear for two weeks
Help feed Anima, a two-year-old rescued bear, for two weeks. Growing bears need lots of food to stay happy and healthy. It’s especially crucial in Anima’s case, as she recovers from an operation to heal her broken leg - after the tragedy of been left for dead in a hit-and-run incident. She enjoys her food – and honey is her sweet favourite.
By choosing this gift, you can help Anima heal and grow stronger.

A haven of peace for bears at the Libearty Bear Sanctuary in Romania
In Romania, bears were once caught as cubs and illegally kept in small cages in public places, to attract and entertain customers. As they grew into adulthood these cages became small prisons and were cruelly inadequate homes. Now, thanks to our work with our partner AMP, very few bears are kept in such horrendous conditions. Instead, they are free to roam in the beautiful Libearty sanctuary and given the nutritious food and veterinary care they need. The bears at the sanctuary eat a varied diet of fresh fruit, vegetables, bread and the occasional chicken. Honey is a special treat and, in the summer months, they get frozen blocks made from cream, fruit and honey.
